Josef Hoflehner (nato nel 1955) è un fotografo austriaco, conosciuto per i suoi paesaggi in bianco e nero molto drammatici e le sue immagini a colori molto tenui. E’ inoltre conosciuto per il suo portfolio “Jet Airliner”, che include fotografie high-key di aerei che volano a bassa quota su una spiaggia pubblica dell’isola caraibica di St. Maarten. E’ stato votato Nature Photographer dell anno nel 2007 e nominato tra i 10 migliori artisti contemporanei austriaci nel 2014.
Le sue opere sono regolarmente in mostra a New York, Los Angeles, Parigi, Londra e altre città del mondo.
Josef Hoflehner (born 1955) is an Austrian photographer known for his dramatic black-and-white landscape and subtle color images. He is also known for the “Jet Airliner” series, which features mostly high-key photographs of low-flying passenger planes over a public beach on the Caribbean island of St. Maarten. He was voted Nature Photographer of the Year 2007, and named as one of “Austria’s 10 Best Contemporary Artists” in 2014. His works are regularly exhibited in New York City, Los Angeles, Paris, London and other world cities.
