Irene Kung was born in Switzerland in 1958. She started her career as a painter, and only in the last years she deceided to concentrate on photography.

She has photographed isolated and dark architecture pieces in Europe USA and Asia, for her project Invisible Cities.. Next to photographing architecture she has also made pictures of animals, trees and mountains, which are now included in her project The forest of the soul.

Irene Kung è nata in Svizzera nel 1958.Ha iniziato la sua carriera come pittrice, e solo negli ultimi anni ha deciso di dedicarsi alla fotografia.

Ha fotografato edifici e strutture architettoniche buie e isolate in Europa, USA e Asia per il suo progetto Invisible Cities. A questo lavoro sull’architettura, ha affiancato immagini di animali, alberi e montagne, che sono ora inclusi nel suo progetto The forest of the soul.
