Jose Maria Rodriguez Madoz (nato nel 1958), più conosciuto come Chema Madoz, è un fotografo spagnolo, noto per le sue fotografie surrealiste in bianco e nero.
Chema Madoz ha studiato Storia dell’Arte all’Universidad Complutense di Madrid tra il 1980 e il 1983. E’ qui che è stato esposto per la prima volta allo studio della fotografia e delle immagini.
In un’intervista pubblicata nel Novembre 2011, Chema spiega che al momento fotografa utilizzando una Hasselblad. Il libro, Chema Madoz: Oggetti 1990-1999 è stato presumibilmente realizzato interamente utilizzando questa fotocamera, invece che con la Mamiya 6×6 che aveva utilizzato in precedenza.
Nel Novembre 2011, il Principe Filippo e la Principessa Letizia di Spagna, con la Forst Lady cilena Cecilia Morel, hanno inaugurato una mostra di Chema Madoz al Museo de Arte Contemporáneo (Santiago, Chile).

Jose Maria Rodriguez Madoz (born 1958) better known as Chema Madoz, is a Spanish photographer, best known for his black and white surrealist photographs.
Chema Madoz studied Art History at Universidad Complutense de Madrid between 1980 and 1983. It is here that he was first exposed to the study of photography and imaging.
In an interview published in 2001, Chema explains that he currently uses a Hasselblad camera to take his photos. The book, Chema Madoz: Objetos 1990–1999 was presumably shot entirely with this camera, rather than the 6×6 Mamiya he has used previously.
In November 2011, Prince Felipe and Princess Letizia of Spain, with Chilean first lady Cecilia Morel, opened an exhibition of Chema Madoz’s work at the al Museo de Arte Contemporáneo (Santiago, Chile).
